Sven Iver Steen

Sven Iver Steen primarily assists within the finance, pension, and insurance sectors and has extensive experience as a legal adviser to Norwegian businesses, organisations, and the public sector. He holds the right of audience before the Supreme Court and litigates cases before all Norwegian courts. He has experience as an arbitrator, including in cases related to Norwegian and international insurance law.

For many years, Sven Iver was engaged by the Ministry of Finance to work in the Banking Law Commission. He participated in the preparation of several official reports, including those related to the Financial Contracts Act, the Insurance Contracts Act, payment services, occupational pension legislation, the Financial Institutions Act, and the Insurance Activities Act. He assisted in the establishment of the national pension rights register, Norsk Pensjon AS.

Sven Iver has leadership experience, including positions as managing partner at Arntzen de Besche and as managing director of the Joint Scheme for Contractual Early Retirement Pensions (AFP). He has assisted the social partners in developing the regulations for the AFP and the "Sliterordningene". He is an adviser for the security arrangement of the Transfer Agreement.

Sven Iver is a sought-after adviser in complex matters and has undertaken several assignments of societal significance. He provides assistance in restructurings and investigative assignments.
