Tor Erik Heggøy
PeopleTor Erik Heggøy mainly works with restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy and debt negotiations, litigation/dispute resolution, employment law and private investigations and public law.
He assists companies, public entities, organisations and individuals.
Heggøy has expert knowledge of private investigations and has extensive experience in this field. He was the project manager of the 22 July Commission secretariat, responsible for the assessment of the police handling of the terrorist attacks. From 2009 to 2015, Heggøy was also a permanently appointed lawyer for the Norwegian Bureau for the Internal Investigation of Police Affairs, where he assisted as chief investigator and prosecutor in cases concerning criminal offenses in the police.
Heggøy assists companies who are subject to supervision, scrutiny or investigation by public authorities, as well as private individuals affected by such investigations.
He also assists businesses with anti-corruption efforts. He is furthermore acting as a defence lawyer in corporate penalties matters and frequently advises clients in crises management.
He is an experienced litigator and has litigated many court cases.
Heggøy is the head of the firm's restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy, debt negotiation and private investigation team. He is an administrator of bankruptcy estates with Sandefjord and Tønsberg District Courts.
Heggøy has previously worked in the police, as a public prosecutor with the Prosecution Authority, as assistant judge and as a lawyer with Selmer law firm in Oslo.
